Other than a skillful and understanding dentist, the most important part of a dental practice is its supporting team! How do you rate a good team? It’s simpler than you think. Just ask how long they’ve worked together. Happy team members stay together and provide better service and levels of comfort. Besides, there’s nothing nicer than a friendly, familiar face!

Dental Assistants – Kathy and Julie

Kathy, or “Cookie,” has been assisting at this location for over 30 years. She’s been Dr. Degnen’s assistant for more than 25 of those years.

Julie has been Dr. Degnen’s assistant for 18 of her 36-year assisting experience.

When your appointments are longer and more involved than routine cleanings, it’s great to know these two will be by Dr. Degnen’s side to make your experience as easy and comfortable as possible.

Dental Hygienists – Sue and Lori

Sue has been providing excellent hygiene skills for the last 29 years. She’s been an important member of our team for the last 10 years.

Lori is our newest hygienist. She’s been providing excellent hygiene for over 33 years. Lori joined Dr. Degnen 4 years ago taking over for Jean who retired from our office after providing our patients with 23 years of care.

Treatment Coordinator – Shelly

As our newest team member with 8 years of dental experience, Shelly is on her way to successfully filling the shoes of Linda who retired after 29 years of service to Dr. Degnen. When you call, Shelly will take great care of you, provide answers to any questions, and get you scheduled at a time that’s convenient.

General Manager – Barney

Barney is Dr. Degnen’s husband of more than 30 years. He has worked with her at Sunset Tower Family Dentistry for the past 18 years. If you have any questions about your insurance and how your coverage works to help you with your dental needs, he’s the one to call. He’s always available and happy to offer assistance.
